IMU Cup 2006 (28/09/2006)

The annual IMU cup closing ceremony was great this year. The 1st floor of IMU was occupied by Pharmacy supporter. I would like to congrats those who win medal for Pharmacy team. For those who lose, never give up, try again next year.

Just to sum up, Pharmacy won the cheerleading competition. The theme was very similar to last year (violet), but this year they use the word ‘Pharmaknight’. Everyone perform very well + supports from more than 200+ pharmacy supporters. As for overall ranking, pharmacy team finished behind the overall champion, semester 5 medic.

As for football, we didnt manage to get through the group stage. However, we manage to get bronze medal for futsal. The good news is pharmacy won gold medal for foosball. I hope to get the chance to join the foosball team next year.

Lastly, i’m holding the Elephant Cup. Elephant Cup is awarded to team with the best supporter (most outstanding team).

Endocrine System – Insulin Devices Practical

Just finished my CNS class test yesterday. Coming weeks should be quite free. Today i went to Family Park for light football training. Tomorrow is the match against semester 5 of medic. We badly need a win in order to get into semi-final.

It is almost 3AM and i still awake transferring photos from my handphone to my notebook. Hey!! I must be crazy. I have a PBL at 830AM tomorrow. HaHa.. Anyway, below are the pictures taken during the endocrine system class on 21st August 2006.

We get to take home NovoLet and FlexPen for free. The most interesting part during the class is SELF-INJECTING with the test pen.

‘When i hold the FlexPen, sensory (touch) information is being sent to the brain via the afferent pathway. Then, my cerebral cortex process the information together with various association cortex to stimulate various pathways, including the sympathetic pathway. There was slight palpitation, cold sweat and tremor. Once i inject the needle 2 fingers away from my belly button, the sensation is like.. tiny red ants biting my skin..’

Lastly, I would like to congrats the pharmacy basketball team for winning their 2nd game. Thanks for reading this post..
